A Rich History in Antiquing
Find Unique Treasures!
The Lifetime Collection of an Antique Enthusiast
Located in Delaware County, New York, the state's beautiful Catskill Mountain Region, our sale commemorates Sandra Karcher (Clark), a true antique enthusiast.
Sandra started out as co-owner of Cellar Door Antiques with her mother, then as owner of Karcher's Kountry Kottage Antiques and Leonard Hill House Bed and Breakfast following her retirement. Her collection comprises items truly too numerous to mention, from primitives to early 20th-century advertisement items and everything imaginable in between - books, furniture, decorative items, upholstery, pottery, sculptures, paintings, glassware, linens, jewelry, and so much more!
Sandra dedicated much of her retirement years to further learning about and researching the art of antiquing, and had extensive knowledge of the period creation, value, originality, and characteristics of her collections. Constantly searching for perfect additions to her eclectic conglomeration, Sandra spent years continuously adding to her collection before her passing and the subsequent closing of her shop. As a master of the art of antiquing, authenticating items, restoring them if necessary and possible, exhibiting them, and accurately setting and bargaining selling prices were second nature to her. Sandra was truly a book of knowledge with a rich collection of referenced and dated pieces whose history and provenance she knew very well.
